Q: First, tell us a little about yourself.
A: I have been a yogi for a few years now, but it was all for losing weight or trying a new fad in town. After losing my mama last year, I truly understood the true meaning of yoga & its philosophy. After being depressed and having anxiety panic attacks, Yoga along with my husband were the only support that helped me get through my grief. Will I ever get over my loss? Probably never, but the breath work did help so much. As a yoga instructor, I want to help as many people with mental & personal issues. Yoga is a true blessing.
Q: What does yoga in action look like to you?
A: Beautiful union of your breath, soul and mind/body. Being in the present.
Q: What would you say to someone who is thinking about starting a yoga journey?
A: Please don’t wait. Start your journey today who knows where the energy will take & transform you.
Q: Tell us about the community you serve?
A: I am still working on that. So far it has only been a couple of neighbors. Hopefully I can teach mentally challenged kids/adults in the future.
Q: The most meaningful part of my Yoga Alliance membership has been…
A: It has been only few weeks since joining Yoga Alliance. I can keep track of my hours and credits, and I love the CE workshops/events. Overall, it has been a very positive experience. It keeps me accountable to be a better Yogi. Thank you.
